UN
GRANDE SUCCESSO ORGANIZZATIVO
E
UNA QUALITA’ MOLTO ALTA DEI MASTINI NAPOLETANI

C’è
subito da dire cle il Club Espanol de los Molossos de Arena, con
in testa il suo Presidente Jesus Sanchez Pardo, ha organizzato in modo impeccabile e con grande
signorilità questo 13° Campionato ATIMANA 2003, tenuto nel
Centro polifunzionale El Montanya, a Seva, in Spagna, dal 19 al
21 settembre 2003. Agli Amici Spagnoli va un sentito
ringraziamento di tutta l’ATIMANA, certo che questo
appuntamento rimarrà nella memoria di tutti i “mastinari”
presenti.
Tutto
si è svolto in modo perfetto, sia la Monografica del Club,
tenutasi il sabato, durante la quale si è potuto constatare
l’alto livello raggiunto in Spagna nelle razze tutelate dal
Club, e nella quale, per la cronaca, i Mastini Napoletani hanno
vinto quasi tutto (Miglior puppy assoluto, Miglior Coppia e
Miglior Gruppo di Allevamento-All’.to di Fossombrone- e BIS
con LEONE dello STRADONE VESUVIANO), e sia i vari appuntamenti
ufficiali dell’ATIMANA: “Conferenza Scientifica
Internazionale sul Mastino Napoletano”, Assemblea Generale,
cena ufficiale e, infine, il 13° CAMPIONATO ATIMANA.
Si
è cominciato il Venerdì pomeriggio con una riunione del
Consiglio Direttivo ATIMANA, nel corso del quale, tra l’altro,
si è definito, assieme agli Amici Messicani ed il Dr. Nello
Crimaldi, il programma dell’ATIMANA 2004, che si svolgerà in
Messico (si veda il programma allegato), e sono stati nominati
componenti il Comitato Scientifico-Tecnico il Dr. Giuseppe
Novaresio e il Sig.
Attila Spiriev, in sostituzione dei sigg. Albin Aiello
(dimissionario) e Michele Palazzo.
Al
Sabato, al termine della Monografica del CEMA, si è svolta
l’annuale “Conferenza Scientifica Internazionale sul Mastino
Napoletano” che ha trattato l’interessantissimo tema Patologia
scheletrica nell’accrescimento del Mastino Napoletano. Ottimo
relatore, come sempre del resto, è stato l’Amico Carissimo
Dr. Nello Crimaldi, che con audiovisivi ha discusso questo tema,
di grande attualità - non solamente per il Mastino ma anche per
tutti i cani di grande taglia - che si inquadra perfettamente
nel filone generale delle annuali Conferenze dell’ATIMANA, che
è

A
tal proposito è stato illustrato e distribuito un questionario,
in cinque lingue, redatto dal Coordinatore del Comitato
Scientifico-tenico, Prof. Luigi Guidobono Cavalchini, di grande
interesse, in quanto dopo una prima parte riservata ai problemi
medico-sanitari, affronta il comportamento del Mastino
Napoletano, questione di grande rilievo proprio in questo
momento, nel quale, non solo in Italia, si stanno
colpevolizzando in maniera indiscriminata molte razze e, tra
queste, anche il nostro Mastino. Questa vuole essere una
risposta seria e documentata, i cui risultati saranno
successivamente portati a conoscenza delle Autorità Nazionali
ed Internazionali, onde porre fine a una indiscriminata
“caccia alle streghe” per la quale si colpisce,
generalizzando, il “Cane”, che quasi mai ha colpa, e non
quei “delinquenti” che del Cane ne fanno un uso distorto,
forzando spesso la sua naturale bontà.
Successivamente
si è tenuta l’ Assemblea Generale, con la presenza della
maggioranza dei Delegati, che ha deliberato, tra le altre cose,
all’unanimità, sia l’Affiliazione all’ATIMANA del Club
Sloveno Slovenski Klub za Velike Pasme, SKVPM, Presidente
l’Amico dr. Stefan Sinko, sia lo svolgimento dell’ATIMANA
2005 in Ungheria, organizzato dal Columella Molosser Club
Hungary, che l’elezione a componente del Consiglio
Direttivo ATIMANA, della Gent.ma Amica Odette Le Mehaute, del
Club Francese, in sostituzione di Albin Aiello, dimissionario
per ragioni di salute, al quale vanno i nostri ringraziamenti
per quanto ha fatto ed i nostri migliori auguri.
Gran
“Galà”, quindi alla cena ufficiale, con circa 200
partecipanti, alla fine della quale il Club Spagnolo ha invitato
tutti a una serata danzante.
Domenica,
infine, il gran giorno del 13° Campionato. Se da un lato c’è
da dire che sono mancate alcune presenze, (in totale i Mastini a
catalogo erano 59, con pochissimi assenti, in rappresentanza di
ben 10 Nazioni, tra le quali anche una femmina arrivata dal
Messico e molti italiani), dall’altro è doveroso sottolineare
l’altissima qualità dei cani presenti, confermata dai
giudizi, molto positivi, dei Giudici, Giuseppe Novaresio,
Italia, per i Maschi ed il BIS, e Carlos Salas Meleto, Spagna,
per le Femmine.
Positivi,
quindi, anche i loro commenti, e, sopratutto sportivissimi tutti
i concorrenti, nessuno escluso, che hanno sempre sottolineato
con applausi le
decisioni dei Giudici nelle diverse classi, cosa questa che pone
il nostro Campionato
veramente al vertice per sportività e classe. E questo,
mi sia consentito, è un punto d’orgoglio in una cinofilia
sempre più litigiosa e spesso poco educata.
Alcune
Classi hanno davvero impressionato per la loro qualità e
omogeneità: mi riferisco, soprattutto, alle Classi Libera e
Campioni, nelle femmine, e Campioni nei Maschi. La qualità
davvero alta nelle femmine (anche in alcune giovani o
giovanissime) fa presagire un buon futuro per la razza a livello
internazionale. Altro rilievo molto positivo è che
sono scomparsi i soggettivisti
poco tipici o leggeri e che sono aumentate, nella
generalità, le masse ed i volumi. Infine c’è da sottolineare
che la quasi totalità dei soggetti presentava un ottimo
movimento, sciolto e tipico,
indice di buone costruzioni, tonicità, condizioni e
salute. Il problema della salute è un obbiettivo che
da tempo l’ATIMANA sta portando avanti con l’assenso assoluto di tutti i Club
affiliati e i risultati si cominciano a vedere.

Il
TROFEO DELLE NAZIONI, riservato a squadre di Club, è
stato vinto meritatamente dal Club
Spagnolo, che ha presentato un gruppo di 5 Mastini, molto
omogenei, ovviamente tutti nati in Spagna. Ciò
dimostra il buon livello raggiunto dall’allevamento di
questo Paese, dove sempre più si stà diffondendo il Mastino
Napoletano.
Si
archivia, quindi, positivamente l’edizione 2003. Per tutti
l’appuntamento per il prossimo anno è in Messico, nelle
vicinanze di Città del Messico, il 2 e 3 ottobre 2004, per il
quale c’è un grande impegno ed un grosso entusiasmo da parte
sia della Federazione Canofila Mexicana, che del Club Messicano,
che curerà anche, per quanti ne faranno richiesta, il
trasferimento dei cani dall’aeroporto al luogo
dell’esposizione. Sono sicuro, avendo già giudicato ben due
“Speciali” in quel Paese, che si supereranno facilmente le
150/160 presenze in Ring.
Sarà
la seconda volta che l’ATIMANA varca l’oceano, con questo
dimostrando la sua vera e reale internazionalità. Una grossa
opportunità davvero da non perdere per allevatori e
appassionati europei, non solo per far conoscere i propri
Mastini, ma per visitare anche questo splendido Paese. Arrivederci
a tutti, quindi, in Messico!

First
of all we have to say that the Club Espanol de los Molossos de
Arena, with his President
Jesus Sanchez Pardo,
has organized in a very excellent and professional way this 13th
ATIMANA SHOW 2003, held at the Polyfunctional Center El Montanya
in Seva, Spain, from the 19th to the 21st of
September 2003. To all the Spanish friends a sincere thanks from
the ATIMANA, because this event will leave a memory in the heart
of all the “ mastinari “ who attended the show.
Everything
was held to the perfection, even the “ Monographic of the
Club”, held the on the Saturday, during which we could see the
high level that Spain has reached in all the breeds that the club
represent and in which, just for the record, the Neapolitan
Mastiffs won almost everything (First Place Puppy, Best Couple,
and Best Group of Breeder-All’.to di Fossombrone- e BIS with
LEONE dello STRADONE VESUVIANO), and also all the official events
of the ATIMANA: “International Scientific Conference on the
Neapolitan Mastiff”, General Assembly, official dinner and in
the end the 13th
ATIMANA SHOW.
Everything
began Friday afternoon with a meeting of the ATIMANA Board of
Directors, during which was established, in cooperation with our
Mexican friends and Dr. Nello Crimaldi, the schedule for the
ATIMANA 2004, which will be held in Mexico (see attached file),
and were nominated members of the Techno-Scientific Committee Dr.
Giuseppe Novaresio and
Mr. Attila Spiriev, in replacement of Mr. Albin Aiello (resigning)
and Mr. Michele Palazzo.
On
Saturday, at the end of the “Monograph” of the CEMA, was held
the annual “International Scientific Conference on the
Neapolitan Mastiff” during which was discussed the very
important theme “
Orthopedic Pathology in the growth of the Neapolitan Mastiff”.
Good host, as always, was our dear friend Dr. Nello Crimaldi,
that with the help of microfilms has discussed this argument, very
topical – not only for the Neapolitan Mastiffs, but also for all
the big size dogs – that goes perfectly in line with the
argument discussed in the all the annual ATIMANA Conferences,
which is

Regarding
that was illustrated and distribuited a questionaire, wrote in
five languages, compiled by the Coordinator of the
Techno-Scientific Committee, Prof. Luigi Guidobono Cavalchini,
very interesting because, after a first introductory part
regarding the medical – sanitary problems, goes through the
behavior of the Neapolitan Mastiffs, a very topical argument
because we’re in a time when, not just in Italy, a lot of breeds
are penalized and those includes also our Neapolitan Mastiff. This
has to be a serious and well documented answer, which result will
be presented to all the National and International Authority, so
we can stop all those indiscriminate allegations against the dog,
that most of the time doesn’t have any fault, and those
“delinquent” that use the dogs for their purposes forcing it
to change its usual good behavior.
After
that was held the General Assembly, with the participation of the
majority of the Delegates, that has also deliberated unanimity the
affiliation at the ATIMANA of the Slovenian Club SLOVENSKI KLUB
za VELIKE PASME, SKVPM, whose president is our friend Dr.
Stefan Sinko, and also was organized the ATIMANA 2005 which will
be held in Hungary, organized by COLUMELLA MOLOSSER CLUB HUNGARY.
Also was nominated member of the Directive Board of the ATIMANA
our friend Odette Le Mehaute, of the French Club, in substitution
of Mr. Albin Aiello, who resigned for health reasons, to whom we
thanks for everything he did and we wish the best.
Grand
Gala, which was the official dinner, with almost 200 guests, at
the end of which the Spanish Club has invited everybody to a dance
party.
Sunday
was the big game of the 13th
ATIMANA Show. We have to say that the Neos registered were only
59, with just a few absents, representing 10 Nations, in which
there was also a female from Mexico and many Italians, but they
were all high quality dogs, as we can see from the results, all
very positive, of the Judges Mr Giuseppe Novaresio, from Italy,
for the males and the BIS, and Carlos Salas Meleto, from Spain,
for the females.
Also
positive their comments, also all the contenders were
sportsmanlike, clapping and agreeing with the judges in every
decision they made. That make our show one of the finest and
sportsmanlike, and that is something to be proud.
Some
Classes were really impressive for quality and homogeneity: this
is regarding the Open Class and Champions, for the female, and
Champions male. The high quality of the females (even in some very
young) it’s a good thing for the breed internationally. Also
positive was the disappearing of the lighter bones and less
typical and a general increase of generality, mass and substance.
It’s also to notice that almost every dog had good movement,
which means good conformation and health. The health problem it’s
an issue very sensitive for the ATIMANA that is working very close
with all the affiliated Clubs, and we started to see some results
in return.

The
NATIONS TROPHY, reserved to Club teams, was win with all the
merits by the Spanish Club,
that has presented a group of 5 Mastiffs, very homogeneous, and of
course born in Spain. That demonstrated the very good level of
breed reached in this country.
This
was a positive and for this 2003 edition. We will all see again
next year in Mexico, near Mexico City, on October 2nd
and 3rd 2004, for which there is a lot of enthusiasm
from F.C.M., and the Mexican Club, that will take care, for whom
will request so, of the transfer of the dogs from the airport to
the place were the show will be hold. I’m pretty sure, after
been part of two “Specials” in that Country, that easily there
will be more than 150/160 registrations.
This
will be the second time that the ATIMANA goes on the other side of
the Ocean, demonstrating that is a really international show. That
will be a do-not-miss opportunity for European breeders and lovers,
not only for showing the Dogs, but also for see this beautiful
Country. See you all in Mexico!
